Témoignage de Herber Nico, Directeur d' Anubis Pictures
De nationalité luxembourgeoise, Marina Herber est née en 1980 en Normandie dans une
famille d'artistes et rejoindra le Luxembourg à l'âge de 6 ans.
Depuis ce temps, sans jamais lâcher ses crayons et ses peintures elle terminera avec facilité son
BTS en dessin animé, monde entre autres, qui ne cessera de la fasciner jusqu'à décider d'en garder les
grandes lignes dans ses conceptions artistiques, chose assez ardue, car difficilement acceptée par la
grande majorité des critiques d'art qui préfèreront toute tendance sauf celle basée sur "l'humour",
injustice dont souffre également le cinéma: on préfèrera donner un César à un drame psychologique
intéressant qu'à une comédie nettement supérieure en qualité artistique.
A partir de 1996, Marina pratiquait successivement la sérigraphie aux éditions Phi, la restauration de
tableaux anciens et modernes, passait d'assistante-cameraman au sein de Anubis Pictures, M6 et Arte
et enfin maquettiste en architecture au Service des Sites et Monuments Nationaux.
Depuis 2007 elle oeuvre comme artiste indépendante, connue sous le pseudonyme de "Marinazz".
Son propre style peut être qualifié d'optimiste ou "d'Art Optimiste", avec le but d'exprimer joie de vivre,
paix, indépendance, humour,... caractérisé par un trait franc, vivant organique aux couleurs et surfaces
épurées sans concession, le tout dans un style compréhensible qui n'est pas exclusivement réservé à une
élite, participant ainsi à une sorte de démocratisation et démistification de l'art, chose qui lui tient trés à coeur
lors d'un concept, car certaines formes d'abstraction actuelles concernant la peinture, ce qui n'est pas le cas
p.ex. dans la sculpture, ont tendance à s'épuiser ou à trop se répéter.
